Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were injured.

The assaults follow periods of air raids in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
